Weekend weddings are a lot of fun if you have a lot of out of town guests or a small invite list. Some couples do a huge rehearsal dinner BBQ for the wedding party and the out of town guests on Friday, Saturday would be an activity in the morning then the ceremony and reception in the evening, then Sunday would be a nice brunch before everyone gets in planes or cars to head on home.
Its a fantastic way for both families to mingle and get to know one another and it even makes the wedding reception a lot more fun! With pre- and post-wedding events it takes careful planning to make sure that everyone is occupied, but not overwhelming to guests. The ideal schedule would be to mix spontaneous and well planned events. The key - Every wedding needs a scheule, no matter how big, how many days, or how small.
Some of the activites could even be having the guys play football that morning or going to a pro game, having the girls do a spa morning, but the bride and groom should attend no matter what. If you want to have a mixed outting do a tour of some historical sites or even visit a zoo! The more planned events are your ceremony and reception. Make sure that you introduce everyone to each other and just have fun!

Carolina Wedding Show
This past Saturday we participated in the Carolina Weddings Show at the Greensboro Coliseum, and let me tell you....lots of brides! We had a great time meeting everyone and hearing about their wedding plans. We gave away a fantastic prize - Two lead crystal monogramed toasting flutes! We also had rave reviews about the sweetheart table that we created with custom linens.
I've included some photos of the table for you. In addition, we announced that our show room/ offices will be open March 1st here in
Greensboro. We'll be sending invitations to brides and vendors inviting everyone to come in and view our space shortly.

Candy Bar Buffet
Just recently we've added a great service/item to our lists - The Candy Bar Buffet. I know you've seen them on TV and maybe at a local wedding, but I think this is such a great idea! Its so beautiful when set up correctly, the guests have a lot of fun with it, and it services as a desert and favor for the bride and groom - saving them lots of money. Now of course you can go out and purchase jars, scoopers and candies yourself and create your own bar. But then what do you do with the jars and scoopers, linens, signs etc after the wedding is over? Also during the event who refills the candy? Who makes sure the area is clean? Answers guests questions? Sets up the candy bar and removes it at the end of the night? It never suprises me on what brides say - "oh, I'll have my mom or a friend do it". To be honest - I've yet to see it done! The mother of the bride, bridesmaid, friend, etc like to have fun at the wedding and tend to let things that should be done by a professional fall by the wayside. Our prices are very low (to start with) as it is new to this area so be sure to reserve your date ASAP, as I'm guessing at these prices and with this service dates will close up fast!
